Description
Over the years, Simion Cernica has come to work with a wide variety of media, chosen for their ability to express his conceptual position and formal exploration. Subversion and the exercise of language are preferred practices of philosophical, aesthetic, and critical resistance investigation, developed by exploring current socio-political and cultural energies.
By questioning accepted cultural perspectives and the mainstream, he aims to critically challenge how we perceive reality, cultural history, and how we promote our precarious humanity. His art maintains a direction reminiscent of “Arte Povera,” proposing speculative updates and avant-garde possibilities in contemporary contexts.
